Whether you’re investing for the long-term with an IRA, or need a short-term investment product, such as a small deposit share certificate, St. Paul Federal Credit Union offers members a wide variety of investment options.


We pay capital dividends on all of our investment options. One of the following may be right for you:

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
At St. Paul Federal Credit Union, we believe in promoting retirement savings for our members and proudly offer a variety of IRAs to help you meet your goals. We offer traditional IRAs, the popular Roth IRAs and Coverdell Education IRAs.

All of our IRA accounts are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $250,000.

IRA Share Account
Saving for retirement doesn’t get any easier than this. Open this account with as little as $1.00 and make additional deposits up to the maximum allowed annually. You’ll be on your way to a more secure future.

IRA Share Certificate
Earn high certificate rates on your retirement savings with a minimum balance of $500.00 for a six-month certificate, or $1,000 with all other term certificates. Terms range from six months to five years, and funds can be rolled over from another IRA or from a qualified employer pension plan.

Coverdell Education Savings Account
Enjoy tax-free withdrawals for higher education expenses with a Coverdell Account. Contribute up to $2,000 per child, per year until the child reaches age 18. Plus, the money you invest in a Coverdell does not count against the maximum you can invest in your other IRAs.
